As I settle into my desk at the end of another school day, I am trying to mentally prepare myself for the huge, daunting task that lay before me.

MARKING WRITTEN FINALS
Today was the day that all grade 7, 8 and 9 students complete part A of their English Language Arts final - the written portion.  Now, as their trusty teacher, it is my task to read all 84 paragraphs and 28 essays and/or narrative stories.  I.  Can't.  Wait.
Actually, sometimes it is fun to do, as the grade 7 prompts are interesting and lend themselves to some fun reads.  Right now, the entire reason why I choose to procrastinate is that I have my mind on several other things, including the Fort McMurray wildfires.
